Inspired by the Parisian way of life, Ellie's is a soulful eatery where neighbors gather and visitors find respite. By day, we serve freshly baked pastries and wholesome lunches. As evening falls, we transform into an intimate, candlelit French bistro, bringing the romance of Paris to downtown Providence.

"I bought a cinnamon bun ($5) and it was basic. Once you bite it, you realize it is just a brioche donut with some frosting. There were no cinnamon-butter layers inside it.
The frosting was incredible though. That stuff could go on anything.
The cinnamon buns at Oak Bakeshop and Whole Foods are much better with those typical gooey layers inside.
Also, it was not large in size, anyone can eat it in one sitting.

"We stopped by on a rainy day after seeing their rooster statue. The atmosphere was welcoming, especially with the plant on the center piece. The latte art was amusing.
As for the sandwiches, the toast was prepared well, but the greens were a bit lacking. The other sandwich was shorted an ingredient and the bread was a bit drier than anticipated, but still nice" — Kin
